Excelsior Awards
Talent power award - 2023
The Talent Power Excellence Award is presented to one chapter per region that demonstrates a strong ability to identify, assess and recruit the highest caliber of men on campus. Each of the chapters recognized with this award seeks out young men who live out SigEp’s Cardinal Principles, incorporate Sound Mind/Sound Body into their daily lives, and actively contribute to both their campus and community.
Recruitment Award - 2020,2019
Is presented to chapters that show significant improvement in a specific area of chapter operations Recruitment: Consistently bringing in new members to the organization who meet high standards that align with the Fraternity’s values and represent the top talent on campus.
Academics - 2020
Fostering a culture of success in the classroom by providing structured academic programming, restorative support, and partnerships with university staff and resources.
Manpower Excellence Award - 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010
The award is given to chapters that have excelled in the recruitment and retention of their members. The award is given to those chapters that are ranked first on their campus in manpower and exceeded the all-campus grade point average for that academic year.
Benjamin Hobson Frayser Award - 2020, 2011, 2009, 2005
Colorado Gamma was recognized during Conclave’s Brotherhood Luncheon as a recipient of the Benjamin Hobson Frayser Award for outstanding Alumni Communications through The Spear and CSUSigEp.org!
Cornerstone Award - 2017 Conclave
At the 55th Grand Chapter Conclave, SigEp National Housing recognized Colorado Gamma AVC with the Cornerstone Award. The award is given for an AVC’s dedication and thoughtfully designed renovation that creates the ideal SigEp chapter house. A home that provides brothers with a superior environment in which to live, learn and prepare for the journey of life ahead. Great architecture and thoughtful design can change the way we see ourselves. These elements inspire us and elevate the expectation for achievement and considering the fact that the typical student spends 90 percent of his college experience outside a formal classroom setting, the importance of an exceptional living-learning environment is a must for every chapter.
Buchanan Outstanding Chapter Award - 1985
Every two years at Conclave, SigEp recognizes the highest-performing chapters with their Buchanan Outstanding Chapter Award. Named in honor of past Grand President Edwin Buchanan, the “Buchanan Cup”, represents superior and sustained achievement in our Fraternity. The Buchanan Cup recognizes the best-of-the-best SigEp chapters. Chapters are measured in relation to the accomplishments of their peers on campuses across the country. Only the chapters that excel in every area of operations and further the Grand Chapter's strategic plan qualify for this high honor.
