What is the CSU/SigEp Learning Community

It is a living-learning community, but because living-learning communities are called by so many names (Living-Learning Programs (LLP), Residential Learning Communities (RLC), Living Learning Centers (LLC), Theme Houses, and Residential Colleges), the concept becomes confusing, when in reality they all serve the same purpose.

Whatever their name living-learning communities combine curricular, co-curricular, and residential components in a purposeful way to encourage collaboration among students, faculty members, and staff to enhance students’ academic and social development.

Our members share the same academic philosophy, are committed to working diligently on the curriculum and events that focus on scholarship, leadership and the development of life skills.  The refinement of these crucial skills prepare members to succeed in college and after.

In order to attract the top candidates competing to enter the 25 fraternities and 23 well-established Learning Communities (LC) already on the CSU campus, The CSU SigEp LC offers a superior living environment with an unparalleled undergraduate experience that provide participants the opportunity to implement what they are learning and reward them for doing so.
